Good with a Fishing Rod- Good with pool

I've noticed a similarity in people. The ones I know that REALLY know how to fish are also quite capable at playing pool.
Now some people who fish really well, just never took up playing pool so they don't count. But it has been my experience that those who have that special touch for fishing can also play pool really well if they put in just a little time.

My experience does not support your theory. Granted, I've only been playing pool for four years, vs. many-more-than-that for fishing. Once you get the hang of it, fishing doesn't really require the hand/eye coordination that pool does. A couple of the best fisherman I know can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

You may know good fishermen but I have a feeling that you may not know really good fishermen. There are important characteristics shared by really good fishermen and really good pool players. A really good fisherman is different from a good fisherman as they have a talent for it much like the difference between a good pool player and a really good pool player.

i fish way better than I play pool.....but not really good at either one. I think it's the ability to grind it out and luck
