Got a couple of simple rules questions

Ok me and some guys at our local room have just recently started playing 14.1. Nobody in this area is in to it much, but we are enjoying for something different.

Now try not to laugh.

Is a bank shot legal? Do you call how many rails, or just the pocket? This has been up for debate.

After the 14th ball is made does the cue ball stay where it ends up for the shot on the break? In other words play it where it lies?

Yes, definitely.

Just the pocket, which means that you can get lucky sometimes :)

If the cueball ends inside the rack, you move it, otherwise as a general rule it stays there. Here's the chart to know exactly where to put the cueball and the 15th ball, depending on their positions:
