Lets turn our attention away from the Mosconi Cup for awhile.

I don't know if any of you posters watch the Accu-Stats videos from back in the 1990s but when the announcers were either Grady Mathews, Bill Incardona, or Buddy Hall it was really entertaining. Some of the stories they told were really interesting too. Such as when Buddy Hall and the Glove sent a letter to NASA asking to let them have 1st crack at any aliens they find that play pool.

The way they would joke around about each other, tell stories about each other, the back and forth stuff, etc, make those old matches even more worthwhile and entertaining.

Just wanted to toss this out there.

My favorite all-time accu-stat video for commentary was when all three of them were commenting together. Grady and Buddy were joking around big time and Billy finally just yelled at them to get back to the game. I wish I could remember what match that was.

I remember Billy asking Grady if a certain two players had ever matched up.
Grady says “”Well, they circled each other a few times.”
Buddy couldn’t stop laughing

my favorite

I've posted about this before, but; My all-time favorite with Billy and Grady was when Billy cited a 9-Ball tournament where Grady had just beaten his opponent 11-0, and was gushing about how he (Grady) was probably the best 9-ball player in the world at that time, and Billy laughingly continued to say that Grady proceeded to lose his next match........Grady was obviously embarrassed, saying to Billy, "I don't want you to tell people that..."
I just wish I could remember which Accu-Stats match that was, so I could hear it again......sooooo funny!

On one of those tapes it was Buddy and he said this re Steve Cook -" if you never saw him and he walked into the room how much would you spot him??"

Grady beat Buddy 11-0 once.

Heard another classic comment on the Mike Massey/Jose Parica match that I watched over the weekend. I forget how it led up to this but here goes:

Buddy: "Grady's hit too many balls!"

Billy: "Yeah, on his head!"
