I picked up this like new Brookstone Shoe Polisher at a yard sale- $5!- I have repurposed- just tape down the ON button and you can hand polish your pool balls to a high gloss finish by just adding your chosen wax or polish onto the ball, rub off with a dry cotton cloth and then BUFF to a high luster! I did a full set in 20 minutes to perfection- Works great in polishing up your wood cues as well! - just mount it up on a bench and tape the ON button while you buff - away :) shoe polisher.JPG
 
If you wax your cue shafts- you can buff them out on this thing- works amazingly! just mount it up on a bench and tape the on button :) :)
 
I have never liked the idea of using wax on the balls as that can get into the tips and cause you to miscue.
I like regular shaft cleaner for cleaning the balls and a polishing compound for making them shine.
