man, the post office is working overtime or something. we mailed them out thursday for the trade, and the DP arrived today! the shipping was SO fast, even I had NO time to think "I wonder when I'll get it"!!! both post offices told us it'd probably be monday. pics do this cue NO justice, and it looks like the "curly" maple is 1 piece spliced to cocobolo for the forearm, and buttsleeve. the maple is GORGEOUS!! i'm going to try it tonight in a little 8-ball tourney in fairview PA. I hope it plays as well as it looks. this is my 1st cue with more than 4 points. it has a uni-lock joint which is also nice. I wasn't expecting that! I wonder if Ken got the "frey" today?? he'll let me know
also: packing was great as the postal service "tested" his and bent the one end of the tube. it worried me but everything looks fine. thanks KEN!!!

Hey Jeff,

Got the cue today! Shoots lights out Dude!!! I held the table for a couple hours tonight at the League Banquet....definitely different than my Scruggs SP but the cue shoots solid -- and just Like NEW :D

Hope you like the DP cue it is an extremely good looking cue and from what I understand a full (TRUE) spliced cue. I only shot a couple test shots so I hope it shoots half as good as it looks! ;)

Take care,

Ken :)

glad to hear you're happy Ken!! update: I played the tourney with the DP and ended up with 2nd place. it's REAL light in the butt with NO weight bolt, but when together it's not too bad:D one shaft feels thicker than the other. it also has no wood to wood contact which makes the hit real hard, but a little time and I'll be good with it. I like the cue, and was wondering about it being "full" spliced but I guess you answered that for me. to me...this was a good trade both ways Ken, thanks buddy!! Jeff
