I remember watching that match as a kid. It came only a couple of months after Thorburn had beat him in another close final, after Jimmy had been leading 7-0!

Beautifully laid snooker on the pink. He had to time it just right. You notice that on its way back, the pink nearly hits the cueball, as the cueball sneaks up to the black. Truly is a game of milimetres.

The two commentators were legends of the billiards and snooker world. John Pullman was a former snooker world champ and Rex Williams was a very slow grinding billiards player.
