Last Friday night, Kim Davenport did a little freebie pool clinic in the room he and Archer bought into earlier in the year. It was basically him, his cue, and a table, with him answering questions from the twenty-ish folks (myself included) in the room, showing folks how he does things, making suggestions, etc etc. Very helpful.
Last night was the first week of the new session for our Wednesday night BCA league, at the same room. I took a couple or three things that Kim had said with me to the table.
I won every game, including a crazy B&R on the first game - left myself hooked on my last ball before the eight, broke out the jump cue, NAILED a jump-and-40-degree cut most of the way down the table and left myself dead on straight on the eight for the win.
I haven't played that well in months!
Now, the trick is... can I keep it up?
