Green Labeled Mali Stick *Question:)

Hey guys,

I cannot find any info regarding my Mali stick, my dad use to play with it until he passed away, so we've had it a good 15 years already.
The only information I was able to find on these these green labeled Mali's is they were made in the 70's, maybe even in the late 60s? The name is boxed(Green), but the Mali runs across the stick and not up and down. I have searched this forum for hours and I can't find anything referring to this specific stamp of Mali. Ive been on a pool table since I was 7 years old and I know the feeling of a quality stick and this definitely has that feel but the stamp has me second guessing myself :p My dad made a living playing pool from Oklahoma to Arizona which really makes me think, he could have picked this up anywhere (It being good or bad).
Here are some pic's I just took, I tried to get the best one's I could, but for some reason the pic's are not doing the stick any justice.(It's a rather simple design, 4 pt but the stick itself is in excellent condition)

I love this stick, I call it playing with my Cadillac :p At the joint on the shaft the epoxy cover seems to be starting to peel off, but for a 30+ year stick its perfect. I have a few very nice sticks(modern) but this Fred Mali stick makes me want to play this game and play it damn well!:)

Any information regarding this stick is very very much appreciated:):) and that is essentially why I posted *Edit: If I am not in the right forum to ask questions I do apologize, I figured this would be the best place to post a thread about getting information on this stick. I am not looking to sell it at all, I just really would like to know a little more about it, even if you have an educated guess. Tx again guys

Here this might be a better pic of the cue

Hope you all have a great holiday

Mali Cue

This looks like a mid range cue from the early 70's to middle 80's before the label change. Probably during the period of American production. Find the Henry W.T. Mali website and send them a message. This is a solid hitting players cue that will deliver the performance needed for all levels. Very similar to the great Adams Stainless Jointed Cues of the same era.

While it has minimal collector value, it is a wonderful heirloom to be cherished. You Dad had good taste in a players cue. Enjoy.

Merry Christmas.

They were made in Sheffield MA. (near me)
I knew most of the people there well.
Your cue was made in the early 80's.
Nice cue.
Those always hit good.
The shop is closed now.
Moved overseas. :(

Enjoy your cue.

chris G<-----owns a few Mali's

i remember that cue from 85, A friend had one, It was a couple years old then. I awalys liked how it played and thought it was a great cue for the $$$.

Thanks for the info and time:)

This wasn't my dad's main, this was the only unknown out of the pile he had(That felt really good). He never liked playing with his real nice stick, but maybe once a year. and if you had a real nice stick you were playing with against him, he really enjoyed grabbing the crappiest cue he could find to beat you with (I dunno, it was just his style.)

Anyways, back on topic. I am really going to investigate a few future purchases from Mali (60-70s Mali era, I dont like the overseas move they made). I don't want to name drop the cues we have here, but I would put this simple cue up against them any day.
*Shrugs, I get a really good feeling from this cue and it kinda perked up my ears enough to start asking questions:p and the answer are very much appreciated, thank you guys again
