Hello everyone! I a returning player after many, many years away. I used to shoot snooker a lot about 20 years ago but, life got in the way. I've just started shooting again with a friend on Mondays now that I'm working for a company that has a billiards room with a 6 X 12 Snooker table free for my enjoyment! Interestingly enough, it's the same tables I shot on in my youth but, I was a guest of employees back then.
Anyway, I had some questions on scoring as a result of our games last night.
I really screwed-up my first break and not only hit the 6 but, also scratched! Would that be 12 to my opponent?
Later, my friend sank a red ball and the 2 sank immediately after. Am I correct that would be a 4 point penalty since the 2 wasn't the ball-on?
Lastly, are penalties 4-points unless the foul occurs on a numbered ball higher than 4?
Thanks for any info you may be able to provide! It's good to be back!!

Well crap! That means I would have won that game! Oh well, there wasn't any money on it so it's ok! Thanks for the info!
