Representing USA in this event is Shane van Boening Oscar Dominguez Cotey Dueul n Greg Harada. I'm in no way bashing Harada and it's great to see young players putting themselves up against the best competition, but I've never heard of him making waves in any big event n after a quick YouTube search I found one vid of him playing in the us open 8 ball n a few others from apa I'm assuming nationals. I know apa doesn't allow pro players at all n they sometimes don't let shortstops play.

I'm simply wondering about the level of Greg H and any good finishes in tournaments.

Also if he had to qualify in the China open n if not the reason why?

Again I'm not trying to imply anything negative just curious n even hoping I'll have a new player to follow

Yes, it was a surprise to find Greg's name as one of only 3 players from the USA on the list of 64 players for the main event in the China Open. I, too, know very little about him. Here is what the AzB database has for him for finishes in the money from 2008 forward: http://www.azbilliards.com/people/6431-greg-harada/

His Fargo Rating would put him outside of the top 100 in the USA.

Harada went two and out in China, losing 3-9 to Jeff Ignacio yesterday and 3-9 to Karl Boyes just a little while ago.

As for the other two players from the USA:
• Oscar Dominguez also went two and out, losing to Chen Shuangyou 4-9 and Han Haoxiang 4-9.
• Corey Deuel is now one and one, losing to Fu Jianbo 8-9 and defeating Wen Yu 9-7. He must now beat Chen Shuangyou later today to get to the final 32.
