Grinding Threads

Mr. Bloodworth, you've mentioned grinding threads in the shaft. I'm fairly familiar with machining metals and woods and have not encountered that description for wood. Any help?
 
thats because some cuemakers refer to it as that or "live" cutting, but its just routing.

It's a little more than live threads. Using my special built and ground carbide tooling, it makes the threads perfect every time. I use a very good spindle to hold my tool.

The end of the tool looks like a four-leaf -clover, but it's got the proper amount of rake and releaf.
