GTF...2 and a half stars

I've had mine for about 2 years I guess, used for storage. Opened and closed maybe 100 times. The plastic part of the case is all cracked and falling apart. The leather fit and finish is nice, but there isn't much friction holding the lid on now. Pretty sure it won't protect much more than any other case
Not sure what happened to the inside, I cut a hole in the felt to fish out the chunks of plastic and can see it's split in 2 places

Did the plastic split by itself or was it crushed at some point? I ask because all of mine from 5 years to last year are still in good condition and not have split.

Hey, John.
It's never been crushed, never been out of the house. When I received it, I felt what I assumed to be a seam in the plastic, to allow for give for the friction top. Since it was lined up with the seam in the leather, made sense to my non-case building mind. In retrospect it may have been split when I got it.
The leather work and construction is fine and on par for the money spent.
