As planned, I got to make it to the finals of the GCC. The finals were spectacular. Grady really did promote a great tournament and I look forward to next year. Buddy Hall had his hands full all afternoon working his way up in the one pocket and bank pool events. I had to leave right after the first set while he was finishing up in the finals of the one pocket event. Wished I could have stayed until the end of the one pocket and bank pool events. Also managed to grab a signed copy of Grady's "Bet High and Kiss Low" book which seems to be a very interesting unrated version of his pool playing career. I really like the unrated version he used to write the book. Buddy Hall even cracked a few jokes of his early 70s picture Grady has in the book while signing it. Hopefully, I can start reading it tomorrow. Not sure if you remember me Grady, but I was the guy with the St. Louis hat on with the big guy wearing the orange shirt. Next time I'll be sure to introduce myself. John Schmidt played spectular all afternoon as well and he finally managed to get his break going into the semi-finals. Very nice guy who deserved to win tonight. Truman came in strong and made some unreal banks that left me in awe. The only thing I regret is not recognizing who exactly he was until the we had left and I didn't manage to get his autograph. Maybe next time. I look forward to next year and maybe I will get in the bar box event since it's going to be limited to amateurs. Thanks for the great event and the book Grady.
