does my cue(2022 Viking B2001 with standard v-pro shaft )use a Unilock quick release pin? The specifications for the cue say it has a 5/16 x 18 quick release joint but mentions nothing about uniloc. I’m a bit confused as I’m trying to clear this up. Thank you for sharing your expertise

Viking uses a modified 5/16x18 joint screw. Smooth shank on the front of the screw. So Yes, it is thier own quick release not a uni loc.

I’m appreciative of you sharing your knowledge. I read that unilock was trash on a 2009 thread lol and am just happy Viking uses their own proprietary pin. Thanks

Anytime.
Quick release joints are everywhere now.
Most have a modified screw. With a modified insert.
One of the first was,
The old Mali cues. They used a full threaded screw and had a modified brass insert.
Good stuff
