Handle size

Can one of you guys tell me what is a standard size for the handle area on a cue. There is another thread in the buy/sell section talking about smaller 'butt sections' wanted. What is considered smaller? I realize you all may have your own size range for your cues but anything here helps....Thanks.

Generally the butt end of a pool cue is in the 1.25" range. I make snooker cues and the butt of these are usually about 1.15". I would consider this small for an pool cue.

i think the post in the for sale section is actually refering to the diameter of the butt, not so much the legnth of the handle. i think legth of the handle is a preferance of the cue maker, not so much something standardized. i know the wrap (handle) on my muecci cues are about 1 1/2 to 2 inches longer on the front end than my predator.
