well how is mike coltrain doing? has he begain to play anymore?
He was down in Goldsboro a couple of weeks ago, but he just came to sweat. He's pretty much given up the game. He'll hit balls on very rare occasions, although he's said that if the IPT takes off, he may give it another shot. His problem with his shoulder is never going to go away.

He has a degenerative condition in his shoulder which causes his grip arm to shake uncontrollably. When it first started, it was like Varner's little shake, but now, it's horrible to watch. His arm shakes so bad now that his tip wavers about 2 inches when he's addressing the CB.

The real shame of it is that he's such a great person and he can no longer do what he loves and was meant to do. Whenever I think of him, a song by Rush always pops into my head. It's called Losing It, and here's an excerpt:

Some are born to move the world
To live their fantasies
Most of us just dream about
The things we'd like to be
Sadder still to watch it die
Than never to have known it
For you, the blind who once could see
The bell tolls for thee....

I sincerely hope that someday, his condition can be resolved and he comes back to the table - pool could use more people like Mike.
