I just got one from the us, through the floods. Full splice, you can't find that in the RP. I knew right away it was too lite, so I melted down some lead and made it butt heavy.
I got two shafts with it, it will be interesting to see how it compares with the local cues. The cue maker says he goes to Ontario and selects the shaft dowel himself, turns it down slowly over 5 or 6 years.
That doesn't happen in the RP, there is no culling of shaft material. Everything is used.
