Could you post some links to some videos of top players - a search for 'chinese 8 ball' in English only comes up with a couple of matches including the very impressive Gareth Potts vs Melling match. How good was Potts ? I have only ever seen a couple of matches, how good are the top Chinese players ?

It`s reported that there was nearly 60 million Chinese Eight Ball fans in China.Billiards club is in everywhere,just in Beijing,there was almost 6,000 billiards clubs.Nearly every club`s customer are playing Chinese Eight Ball.
Snooker is more famous,but few people to play,lot of Chinese fans love Stephen·Hendry、Ronnie·O'Sullivan、Ding Junhui,but when they playing snooker,they thought this game is lone and boring.In fact,few club owned snooker table,because nobody play.
Well,man,this game is kind of easy to learn and play,that`s why some 9 ball player come to China to play this game.But if you wanna play well,this game is very tough,too,need work very very hard in this.
Last year December,when Darren·Appleton came to China for the second “joy cup”international masters,he said “write my name on the trophy,there`s no doubt I will win the champion,this time.”But he still have lost to Gareth·Potts in semi-final.

Mazza, my man. Please note that just like Chinese can't access youtube freely, youku isn't open to all the world either. There is a Chrome addon called "Unblock Youku", Might be worth a try.

Will any of the Chinese champions gamble with Shane Van Boening in 9-ball or 10-ball? If the answer is yes, then they stand to make more than they ever could playing Chinese 8-ball.
Many of them certainly have the skills to play him, its unlikely that they will ever match up though:sorry:

That`s true,chinese eight ball is more popular in north of china,most good players is northerner.
