helmstetter wood pin carom..

i'm not sure about this auction, but there is a thread about an identical cue only with two shafts and a case that is on ebay at the same time. in the thread it is mentioned that the case may be worth some money and it might be worthwhile to keep an eye on this auction as well. you might be able to sell the case and bring your price down. here is the link to the thread and in the thread there is a link to the auction:

hey
thanks ive been watching that auction since it started.. i asked the guy if he would sell it without the case and he was a dick about it.. he said the case was only worth 10-15 dollars when i tried to tell him it was worth alot more.. thanks for your help though.. if anyone else could also help me thta would be great!!

metallicarokerx,

good luck on your bid. most people don't know much about them, so shouldn't be that expensive. hope the reserve is not too high.

Nothing Special but RARE

okay. here's some pics i took several years ago. its nothing special. although i would like to share that other players here have Helmstetters with nice butterflies and inlays, etc. but most of them agree that the one i own has the best response and action. IMHO, i have a feeling that it's `cause there's less done to the material.

hope you get yours, he'll(dad) love it! :D he knows what he's talking about. let us know how it goes.

It's hard to say what some yahoos think is a reasonable reserve. This cue looks pretty nice. Current new Helmstetter wood joint cues (3 cushion) go for about $150 to $400.00. Most cues in this style are for 3 cushion billiards and the shafts are very different from pool cues, very stiff. If your dad shoots pool he might be happier with a wood threaded-joint stick made by Ron Kilby. I think his website is caromcues.com. He has a basic model that is very reasonably priced (about $300.00 if I remember correctly) and his cues are very well made. If you go that way you can get the specifications your dad really prefers.
