Help for those who play with eye glasses

Just got these today and have been using them all morning. They are great, very soft you don't even know they are there. I have been wearing them with my everyday glasses but will be getting a pair for my pool playing glasses as well.

No more sliding down glasses and pushing them up. In my shop I often may have glue on my fingers and I worry about wrecking my glasses with a finger print of super glue in the lens. I think for playing pool these could be a God send.

They are so cheap that if you like them fine, If not nothing really lost. If you do they could be a game changer. They are made of some kind of soft silicone like gel. Very nice. This is who I got them from on ebay. Just thought I would pass this on.

I honestly have to take my glasses off to shoot pool, I cannot adjust when I have to look over them or under them for shooting.

I have gotten contacts for playing pool. They are great. No more adjusting my glasses when playing. My contacts are for distance only. I still need magnifiers for reading but they are perfect for nine footers. Believe it or not, the distance from your eyes to the cue ball when you are down on the shot is great with these distance contacts. It took me a while to get used to putting them in but I was determined and am glad I stuck with it. Playing pool without glasses. And did I mention that I have an astigmatism also? They do amazing things these days with contacts.

What is your vision without your glasses? If you are seeing snow balls instead of pool balls you are giving up a lot. I don't think I could see well playing pool for over 20 years, I just didn't know it.

It was Ok I could play but until I got glasses just for pool I had no idea what I was missing. I see now like I did when I was 20 again.

It was like all the years we watched TV and were happy. Then we got HD and the difference was startling.

I just have trouble seeing distances, for example, when at my computer for work I never wear my glasses either and can see the screens and regular font sizes just fine.

I can still see long shots on a table very well.

Bad Eyes

Poor vision has been issue playing pool my entire adult life. My uncorrected vision is somewhere in the 20/400 neighborhood. Terribly near sighted; I see clearly about eight to ten inches. I have always found contact lenses to be the best solution.

What's kinda funny is...when I visit my eye doctor for an update to my prescription, I literally tell the doc. "I'm a pocket billiard enthusiast...make me see good at about nine feet."
