Help Identify This Cue

I recently purchased a case full of random cue parts from a Craigslist post. (Ron Thomas that is beat to hell) Inside there was a really heavy butt that has the initials MG and I was curious if it might be an early Mike Gulassy conversion. The initials are between the points(4) which are very uneven. It has a 3/8 10 pin with a linen phenolic joint collar. It is pretty beat up and looks pretty old.

Sorry, should have mentioned I sent and email but it is late and you know how pool players LOVE to wait. Figured with the wealth of knowledge out there I would build the drama with a bunch of guesses. I have to add that that I only paid $25 for a used Ron Thomas case, this butt and two Ivory ferruled 5/16 14 shafts and 8 nearly new pre flag Masters chalk. Oh, and my wife still thinks it was a bad deal????

Still looking for help

I hate to bump this up so quickly but I have not received a response from Gulyassy and nobody at the pool hall last night had a clue.
