I live a ways out in the boonies so it is
very difficult for me to get a table mechanic
to my table. Travel time makes it expensive for
them and me. I have a couple of problems with
the table that I would like to address.
I am very mechanically adept but there are a lot
of things I don't know about pool tables. For example,
Is there a preferred material for shimming the individual
pieces of slate? Plastic vs. wood shims? My more
general question is how much help can I reasonably
expect from this forum? I know you all are a bunch
of "good guys" but I don't want to wear out my welcome.
