High Stances

I know there are many styles that many different players have when they shoot. Today, you see majority of players with a low stance. There were great players of the old days like Mosconi, Fats, Hoppe, Crane and Balsis with very high stances. Id like to know of any great players in the last 20-25 years that have a high stance.

Just want to see who was successful with the new, better equipment of the last 2 decades.

Let me know!!!!

Thanks for all replies....

Not sure what you mean by a very high stance, but Mosconi, Balsis and Crane got down pretty low when they were competing. I'd only seen Fats in exhibition type situations and by then he was up there in years and also pretty big around the middle, so he stood fairly tall, but I don't know how tall he stood when he was young. Hoppe mixed it up. He stood tall on close shots, as he should, and got down fairly low on other shots.

Be careful about judging players while they're giving exhibitions or posing for photos. They will stand higher to talk to the crowd or to smile for the camera.

Just use "your Stance"- and this has to be comfortable for you, allowing you to execute your stroke perfectly and still also allows you to *see* the line.
