Hollywood's Tuesday night Tourny is gone??

Is the longest running weekly 9-ball tournament in Florida history (i think) done??

I recently took a break from pool....a little burnt out....when I went back to the 20+ year old weekly 9-ball tourny...it was all but gone...12 players....the prior week..no tourny. This was a tourny that consistently had between 32 and 48 players for YEARS!!

Any opinions as to why?? I've heard the economy is the reason. I don't know.

Are there other long running tourny's around the country that have died out??

Are there other weekly tournaments in South Florida that are going strong??

Sunday Nights Come by Sharp Shooters in Miami, i run a handicap 8,9 and 10 ball tournament.
$15 entry $5 (optional) side pot
Single Elimination
Come in from 5 to 8 and buy a happy hour drink and pratice till the tourny starts.
