How about a separate Forum for Pool related posts?

That way the "Main Forum" can be the central area for all other posts.

The Pool Forum could be moderated and the Main forum a 'free for all' unmoderated, it could be called AZ-RSB 'rumble arena'
 
I hear you Tom, unfortunately until the Moderators around here start doing their job the main forum will continue to be a mess. Perhaps the current moderators are just too nice? We need someone that isn't gonna put up with sh*t from anyone.
 
That's actually a good idea... If it happens, can we add a regional section also. I would like to talk with people that I know are from around the area. Maybe shoot some pool to put some faces with these screen names.

If there is a question about what forum a post should be in, then the moderator can move it.

I want the old 'pool forum' back. Out with the trash already.

Let's get back to having a pool forum

I agree that the "bash the pro" threads are out of hand.

This type of cheap entertainment can be fun for a short while, but in the long run I have seen it become the demise of a few MBs in my time.

The TAP MB comes to mind, and it was a shame. Here you had access to the league president, rules committee, and other important figures at your fingertips, and it was all ruined by no more than two or three people at the loss of hundreds of TAP shooters who used the board to help enhance their league nights.

Where are you located and where do you shoot out of?

Plenty of guys including me that live in the Boston area.

I just got back into the scene and i'm mostly playing at Boston Billiards. I'm in league there for tuesday night 8-ball and I would be there for 9-ball, but couldn't find a dependable partner that would have been committed. I also shoot at Goodtimes in Somerville for fun (I'm not to fond of their tables).

Ins't a simpler solution just to make the existing NPR forum un-moderated and insert a warning/disclaimer before displaying it to all users?
 
I like the regional Idea. It would be a way we can discuss small local tournaments. Or pool halls, local shops, players, or discuss local pointless bull even.

I'm on a Mountain Biker forum that has regional sections and it is great.
