. btw am I the only one expecting "=blue balls" at the end of that?

Ah quick question from you secret gurus of chalk. I bought a box of masters green but its been sitting in my car now for 3 months... its been humid... should i go buy a new box and leave it in a plastic bag or can i salvage the stuff i have?

A box of 144? YES, it is NOW WORTHLESS! But to do my part to help the ecology, don't trash it! Just send it to me and I'll properly dispose of! :D

Seriously, it just needs to be dried. Single layer on a cookie sheet in a conventional oven at 350 degrees does the trick!

I tried floridafred.com but got a photographers site. Is this the same floridafred that makes wood cue cases? I used to go to that site but there are no cases or chalk holders at www.floridafred.com

Can you provide a link to the chalk holder you are talking about?
Thanks.

Jim:

Wow! Sorry, I just did that from memory - didn't check first. Yes it was the same Floridafred that made the wooden cases - guess he's gone by the wayside - unless he's changed his line of endeavor to photography - always possible I suppose.

As for the Sir Joseph one - Can't find it anywhere either - I swear I didn't dream this. I remember them advertising it in BD or P&B several months ago. I just did a quick search, and while I found tons of on-line stores selling SJ gloves, none mentioned the chalk pocket - it has got to be out there somewhere.

It really is the best solution that I've found. Out of the way, unobtrusive, holds it securely (I have never had the chalk fall out of the pocket - granted I don't do many cartwheels at the table) and has lasted quite a few years now. Mine (floridafred's) are made from table cloth - cheap stuff, not Simonis. If you're adventuresome I can make a drawing with dimensions and e-mail it to you. Just some cloth and velcro and a little time on the sewing machine. PM me if that's the way you want to go.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

heres the link to the sir joseph chalk holder info:
http://www.geocities.com/fred4us2002/Bigpic-chalkholder.html

and it DOES look like floridafred went to photography.

i also used the magnetic chalk holder, but it was annoying that it would fall if if i bumped into it. had a hard time finding the right spot to put it where it wouldnt touch anything. it would also brush against my shirt (i had the one without the hole on the cover) and leave blue marks on my shirts. now, i just place it on the table when im shooting, and i take it with me when i go sit down. after every shot i just pick up the chalk and move it to where my next shot is.

I was the type that got laughed off playing in the leagues and carrying my own chalk hehehe, goes to show them why i was the better player out of 15 teams though huh. Cause i took the game serious then the others, and i always wanted that lil pouch that karen has, i might have to get me one of those. Cole 'TheConArtist'
