Is there a design or style on the cue that tells you whether it is or isn't? The cue is a Schon R5. I'm still waiting for the guy I may be buying it from to send me pics.
How do you tell if a Schon from early to mid 80's is a Runde era?

Mike is right, but didn’t Evan Clark continue with sharp points after Runde left? A good tell is the shaft. The old ones without name on shaft don’t fit the new ones with schon imprinted on the shaft, even though the threading is about the same.

One of the main things I’ve noticed with the old cues is that they are not cored. One of the reasons they hit better, IMHO.
