How hard is it to paint a GC Brunswick?

I have an opportunity to buy a used GC2 that's mechanically sound, but looks pretty terrible.

Personally I've always lusted after the matte or gloss black with chrome finishing on the GC series, so for the detail-oriented layman, is this renovation feasible? Are the rail diamonds removable?

Thanks thanks.

I did all that and more on my american shuffleboard "free" pos table. If you know of a decent powdercoater and are somewhat handy with tools it shouldn't be too hard. For my old rail sights, i drilled a hole in them and threaded in a drywall screw and removed the sight / screw assembly with vice grips.
