I have all the WPC tapes from 1999-2004. I like the coverage of these matches much better than the boring commentary on a lot of Accustat matches. The only thing I didn't like about the telecasts from Britian is that they kept showing all there local snooker players, even the marginal ones. Steve Davis is a worthwhile watch, however, I'd rather watch the guys who can play the best which are the reguliar poolplayers.

Taiwan is just crazy about there pool and they have the cash to support it.If the Philllipines had money,no doubt that would be a great great place fan wise to hold the event.I see Taiwan holding future WPC's at least 50% of the time from now on.RJ

Nothing announced.

If the Philippines can cough up the Money (a kool US$1 million), then it will be theirs I guess.

We will surely know soon during or after the WPC.

I hope Sky Sports can work things out to have the WPC in the US again.

I agree, but it would be Matchroom Sport that would have to work that one out. They are the promoters of the World Championships, Sky only broadcast them here in the UK (and thank goodness they do! :)).

Matchroom have a good business relationship with the MGM Grand in Las Vegas with the Desert Classic Darts Tournament now entering its 4th year there and the Mosconi Cup (hopefully) returning there in December (it's due to be on your side of the Atlantic this year). Give it some time and you never know!

Although, I do wish it would come back to the UK. I liked going down to Cardiff for a few days to watch the greatest players playing live and I really missed it last year!

Also, RJ, I am sure you will agree that there will be fewer snooker players getting into the Worlds now that the new, more stringent, qualification system is now in place. From memory, I think Tony Drago and Steve Davis are the only 2 in this years. They are both guaranteed in next year's WPC already! Davis because of his Mosconi Cup appearances and Drago because he was runner up at the last Euro Tour event in Austria a couple of weeks ago. No more free rides for these guys!
