How long will unused cloth keep?

I recently purchased some Simonis 860 to re-cloth my table. I cut enough off to do my railer and placed the rest in a bag. I had forgot that the last cloth on my table had only been stretched once. I was thinking of re-stretching my old cloth and putting it on for a couple years and then putting my new cloth on. Do you think it will keep in a plasting bag or do you think I should put in something else (like a paper sack)? I could just fold it and put it in the closet or I could even put into a bag and vacumm pack it. It should be ok for a couple years...shouldn't it?

If your rails need new cloth, it's probably time to do the entire table.

The rails were clothed in 1994, as was the table. At the time, I rented and moved every 6-12 months. The table was set up 4 different times in a 2 year period. So, after stretching the cloth 3 times....I had to replace. The used cloth that I have has only been stretched once, but has been packed away for about 8 years now. I thought about using it (if it's any good).

Oh wait a minute...nevermind...lol. It just occured to me that the used cloth that I have has had a grid drawn on it with a Sharpie marker....I'm not going to use that one over again...lol.

Thanks anyway.
