How often do you replace cue tips?

I am getting 2-to-2.5 years per tip (hard) 4-5 years on my break cue (XX hard) and forever on my jump cue (phenolic)

I shape playing cue every 6 months or so, break cue once a year maybe, and never touch the jump cue tip.
 
I know this doesn't help but I used to do practically all the tips and ferrules and such for this and have probably close to ma thousand tips in stock of a bunch of different brands so I just change one when I feel like it.
 
I've had Kamui Softs last a few years. Break tips usually fail on me before they wear out. I've settled into the Kamui Clear Black hard and love it. They're not really gonna wear out, but I just had one fail. Left the clear pad and 1 layer of leather behind...

Overall with layered playing tips I'll agree with sjm: 500 hours sounds about right.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the Sai Hard - which replaced a bulletproof tip that I split.
I am curious to see how it performs over time. But both power and controlled breaks are feeling great right now.

100%.
I had a Samsara last and the thing delaminated almost immediately. I rarely break hard and it still fell apart. Switched to the SAI and it's been awesome. It's shown no wear, i haven't had to shape/scuff it, and the grip and energy transfer are amazing. I play 10b with a template mostly, so i'm almost always a softer break (sue me lol). No idea why i've always had such bad luck with break tips...
