how to get comfortable with a cue fast?

"replace the object ball" shots

Shoot some long straight "replace the object ball" shots. Meaning: make the cue ball, after making contact with the object ball, roll ahead one half of a revolution and come to stop right where the object ball was. For example shooting from the head string (cue ball) to the foot string (object ball) diagonally across the table, straight into a corner pocket.

That will give you the feel and touch needed to get comfortable with a cue fast.

Seriously the only way to get comfortable with a new cue fast, is to spend a day playing pool, with it.

Practice shooting position shots to see how it plays, untill your comfortable with the cue.

Play you 5 quick sets, race to five 9-ball................for a hundred a set. If you ain't used to it after that, you've got a problem.

Play like you normally would. It's all in your head and there will be a point where you realize that there wasn't too much change. I went from a Lucasi to a 314 last month. I took a day off from work to get used to it. Just play like you normally would.
