I with you Ruark. Most of the time I'd rather play/practice by myself in the basement. Lately I have been switching it up, First I throw a few balls on the table and get warmed up. Then I might play some 14.1 or play the ghost in 9ball. Working on your break is very important, you need to find that sweet spot on your home table. I found that playing 6ball is a nice warm up for playing 9ball. Also throwing 3 balls on the table and running them in rotation is a great drill.:smile:
This is an important topic for me, because 99% of my pool playing is solo on my table at home, and I live in a rural area about 80 miles from the nearest large city. I play for my own enjoyment and relaxation, while at the same time being a "serious" player and always trying to improve my skill.
