Okay, I wanted offer some advice for some average players. Also becuase i am so happy right now. About a week ago there was a post on reaching the next level, so this fits in. For a long while I was a D player. Then within the last few months I felt I raised it to a c level. I wanted to reach that zone where I could string some racks together and just have a much more complete game. I thought it was never going to come. I practiced my ass off. 5 days a week four to five hours a day. i bought books and took lessons and yet, I still didn't get that dramatic increase I wanted. So what was? There was no shot I have not made or couldn't, but I just didn't have that concistancy.
It was the STROKE. And, now, I have it. Well what did it for me. Efren Reyes, Archer, Hall, Rempe, they did it. I spent about 3 days straight watching accu-stats tapes and When I went to the table today it was just there. I saw the shots, I saw the angles, I saw the pattern. And, it wasn't that I was just on today, i felt a new "something". It was like a duck in water. There was no more shaky shots. I saw the ball go in and the leave and just exicuted.
I can really attribute this groth in my game from the videos. I think wathcing them for days should me that it can be done, and if it is done right the game is easy. Plus my stroke was more fluid. I really recomend this as something to try. I have had countless lessons from master lever players and it was the sollution. You know the english and you know the shot, but if you don;t have that fluid flowing stroke none of that matters.
I am sorry I rambled but do you guys remeber that moment were it just clicked. I played people today that I ussually loose to like 15-8 but tonight I (and I can't believe I am saying this) I dominated. It was AWESOME.

Please post comments. and your similar experiances.
Thanks,
Jordan

well, i can't recall when everything just clicked. but as far as watching and studying pros, and reading about position, yes! that can take you up to high playing levels. as i posted a little while back, i am very, very much of a copyier. i can copy everyone and everything, which is good and bad. do not be dissopointed if next week, you play poorly, what you may be experiencing is what i experience, looking studying, watching saying ahhh, it's making sense, going out and playing in the style you just saw on video, doing extremly well, and then next week, not being inspired, because it's been a week since you saw the video, and now, your just coasting along. keep studying until you die. we are always learning. i siggest play your best pool by phil capele. that book will keep you busy, until your dead!
