It is a Big "HOO-HAA" now..most forums all over asia are discussing this "slow play" now. Basavich had appeared for the 1st time in WPC & the international scene (correct me if i'm wrong) with really bad reviews & impressions, making probably 0 fans!

Basavich played in WPC 2001 when he didn't pass the group stage.

I was wondering if you guys saw Danny taking a pot after the match.
He layed down the 7 ball and the cue ball in line and shot the ball almost in a spilt second.
That made me think that his slow play was very deliberate. Afterall, he is playing against Hsia who is from the city of Kaohsiung. Maybe he needs to use such tactics against a strong player. Makes me wonder if he will play at such speed against top notch guys like Earl, Efren, Yang or Chao.

i havent' seen him so i dont know, but how does he compare to archer? archer is painfully slow to watch these days. he used to have a nice fast rythym.... wonder where it went.
