While I walked through the billiard room the other day doing something else I did not have my glasses on. Now mind you I am not blind without them but from 3 feet away I see fuzzy colors. I threw some balls out on the table and ran out 5 of them. I could not see the balls but was able to make them without really aiming.

This brought me back to the thought of Tim Gallwey's book The inner game of tennis. The idea is that our brains already know how to make the shots and our conscious mind has a great way of talking us out of it. Am I saying that I could do this at tournaments? Probably not. Am I saying I would ever attempt to play a real match without glasses or contacts. Heck no.

Carrying this a little further it makes me wonder if CTE or ETE is just getting your conscious mind to look at something else while your inner brain takes over to make the shot.

Thoughts?

I do this whenever my eyes start to feel off, I just take off my glasses and hit a few racks. I have a little trouble with thin cuts that are far away, but for the most part I shoot ok blind.

I've been near-sighted all my life.
And I was known for my long-distance accuracy on a 6x12.
When I was questioned about this anomaly I would say....
..if you know where the ball is, that's good enough....

One eyed people have depth perception...it comes from the mind.
