So I'm curious I was thinking about pool in relation to the other hobbies that I kind of have. And I was curious what you guys would do in this situation? So I guess I'll ask this hypothetical. Let's say you moved to an area and no bar has pool tables. There was no pool hall no one you knew even played pool. You for some reason either it was a cheap table or money wasn't really an issue. You have a pool table in your house but you don't even know anyone that wants to come over and play it. You're the only person that you can find in your area that is interested in pool. Now traveling 6 hours one way by car you can find one other person who is interested. But it's very difficult to get your schedule is aligned and you at best could visit this person to play pool twice a year. And 8 hours away once a year there is a tournament with a grand total of at most 50 players. And because there is so few players you know how to play pool but you don't know anything like cue ball control position play how to really make any shots. You know some basic shots but you wish you could learn but no one can teach you.
So with that scenario setup how long do you think you would be able to last playing pool and keeping it interesting? How long would pool stay a hobby?
