I am selling my Whitten...and here is why.

I used to have a Porper until I sold it since I was getting a completely new setup. The only thing I dislike about them is that you can only insert the butt ends joint down. I prefer to insert the joints up, but that's just me. :P

Mine takes the joint end up no problem. It's the top of the linne i think about 3 years old.

I miss my Justis 3x6. I sold it because it was too heavy. I had a Swift and a flowers (a bit lighter) among a few other cases but they all felt a bit too heavy at the time. I then got myself an old It's George, and I also have a very light soft case which cost me like $40.

But you know what, I have been thinking about the Justis a lot. I am going to buy another one in Vegas. I can live with a bit more weight for the pride of carrying a Justis. Jack makes such beautiful case!

I sold my Whitten 2x4 made with Alligator print a while ago. For some reason, I do not miss that as much as my old Justis. Every now and then, I see someone with a Whitten and I think to myself, "yeah, I had one like that before."

I guess I want something more personal and unique. I do not want to have a Whitten that someone else also has. I thought about getting a Whitten with real Ostrich leather--but then, may be I should save up and spend $2000 on an Ostrich from Jack?

For now, I think I would love to get a Justis with the cow fur when I see Jack in Vegas...... :p :p

~just some crazy cue case junkie talking...~

PS: Speaking of heavy case, has any of you ever owned a Chas Clement?
