Ok, here’s the situation. I want a Revo CF shaft. Looking for an all black wrapless butt. So far, the choices I’ve found are a Predator P3, and Predator SP2. I LOVE my 1985 McDermont with original shaft, but also my 2011 Schon with original shaft. I KNOW, I KNOW…. EXACT opposite feels. Lol. I would honestly like something in either END of the spectrum. Softer like the McD, or crispier like the Schon. I know the Revo shaft will be the crispier end! BUT… is there any difference between the feel/quality of the P3 or the Sport 2 butts from Predator? Also…. If you have any other recommendations for a HIGHER quality butt, I’m open. Again preferences are either plain black collar or no collar, to look continuous with the Revo shaft. I have allocated 2k for the BUTT only. But, I want QUALITY and playability more than collectibility. So no Balabuska, Tascarella, Tad, Searing (his shafts RULE), Ginacue, etc…. Thank you

A friend of mine found a nice plain Diveney that matches nice with the revo. I think he paid 400.00 for it. I wonder how much difference there is in playability from say a cheap 100 dollar cue/butt versus a 500-1000 dollar cue/butt,given same pin/joint style and weight?

Go to Syberts and buy a black/brown 1811 wrap less Uni Loc quick release cue for $149.
Add that $499 Revo and your good to go.

You can order a Viking or Meucci on ebay that are both all black butts. no collars, no nothing. just straight black maple butts.

Predator Exclusive Limited Edition - NO Wrap - LTD UNILOC 314-3 12.75mm Shaft If you want to match a predator with it

Why not one of the predator black series? Sang lee edition butts are nice looking if you want to keep it all predator and kind of fancy.
Or this

P3 with the radial pin has a nice hit, but really you are paying for some paint and a Chinese made cue for the price of what many guys will build you a custom US made plain jane for.

The Aspire series from Predator should match the Revo nicely and is much cheaper than a P3.

If you don't mind leather instead of wrapless the Konnlen and J Flowers cues are well made and will be fine with a Revo. I know someone that has one, and played with it, with a Revo, was not bad at all, the fit and finish was very good. The shafts they come with are not very good but the butts are well done. I would buy one of those over a Predator for the cost all day long. https://www.amazon.com/Professional...d1-a49a-7b1259a4b36e&pd_rd_i=B08TC41291&psc=1

For a Predator, this Roadline is nice with a Revo if you like the black on black look, looks to be 1,000 including the shaft. https://www.pooldawg.com/catalog/product/view/id/63694/s/presp4bn-pool-cue/category/809/
