I recently added a step to my shot routine, and that is making a point to consciously notice the space between the CB and OB. What this did for me was give me peace of mind of how much room I can push the tip past the OB, and it ended up slowing down my stroke, removed the jerky/punch, and improved the flow, follow-through, and energy tranfser of the whole operation. Getting the most out of the room I have.
I now think that jerky/punches are really just a lack of peace of mind of trying not to commit a double-hit foul; not a concentration issue.
Could be a useful tip for someone else?
