I Love Deflection

How many of you PLAYERS out there have found a cue that you really like, gotten used to how much it deflects, forgotten about it, and now just simply PLAY pool? I mean, the science applied to billiard games no doubt has come a long way, but don't you guys ever want to forget about all this stuff and just enjoy making that great shot? After reading some very lengthy posts about deflection, I noticed that I was paying way too much attention to it and its results while playing. So the other night, while playing, I decided to forget about all this stuff and just FEEL my game again. I went off~~~making everything I tried....perfect shape, smooth strokes, and MOST importantly I paid attention to ENJOYING this exhilirating, nerveracking, fickle, and beautiful game. No offense to anyone who would like to debate deflection and predator and meucci and on and on again. I just LOVE to play and not confuse myself TOO much while doing so. I apologize for the rant.
Peace,
David~~loves pool and billiards :D

TAP TAP! Good post! Someone in BD said something to the effect that you could have the best cue money could buy but it's not going to stop some guy with a house cue from drilling you.

Don't apologize because it's not a rant. It's really the point I'm also trying to make when I get get into the discourse of deflection. It doesn't mean crap. It's the reason why I started the thread about highest deflecting cues and shafts, to see how many valid posts will come back with something of substance. My guess is none! Which is exactly what I was looking for and trying to prove. NO ONE will have concrete proof in comparing one cue or shaft to another for deflection other than what a manufacturer or cue maker claims and they buy into. And whatever someone came up with as the highest deflecting cue/shaft, it still doesn't mean that a player with a Predator or whatever, is going to kick the butt of another player that has a good feel and knows how to stroke with the higher deflecting cue.
