There. That got your attention. 
I'm looking to add another cue to my collection. What I'm looking for is something at the other end of the stiffness scale from my Meucci. That stick is soft, whippy and very communicative - I can almost feel it bend on harder shots. However, it's time to see what my game looks like with a different cue.
So, I'm looking for suggestions for an inexpensive ($300 or under) cue which has very stiff, solid characteristics. Many opinions have been expressed regarding the effect various joint and ferrule types have on these - it wouldn't kill me if someone more knowledgeable than I were to discuss it in this thread.
One possible example (it seems to me) would be something based on Cuetec's Thunderbolt process . Specifically, the APA-logoed stick offered here (note - .pdf link) . Between the steel joint and graphite-cored shaft, I suspect this thing is kinda stiff.
