I was so happy the other day at the local weekly 9-ball tournament when I overheard two of the better players agreeing to rack their own balls and spot the 9-ball if it's made on the break.  :yes:
When I played the winner and was asked if I'd agree to do the same, I almost cried a tear of joy. :smile-square: :tongue:
In the next match, I was slapped back to reality when I proposed the same thing and was denied. After a couple attempts to explain my logic, I wasn't given any real reason other than "tradition", and "people don't like my racks because they don't know how to break a tight rack". :killingme: I quickly let it go since the rules were on his side and it wasn't the time and place for a debate on rule changes.
Anyway, I'm glad some people are catching on. Hopefully with a few people on board, the trend will continue locally.
