I was hooked the other night playing 9 ball...the guy got one helluva roll and I titty hooked on my next ball like this:

Actually top left...I found it easier to hit to the right right of the tit just slightly and pull the cue back towards me. I clipped the 1 and almost made it in the hole. Guy nearly had a cow...he was all ready for ball in hand LOL...kids...bet he went and practiced that shot after that!

I think there are a few options depending on how much is at stake and what you are willing to risk. The best option I think its 3 rails similar to this:

The next best option would be to try and masse so the cue ball comes back to the short rail and spins down it hopefully hitting the 1.

The third, if I was playing for fun and nothing really at stake i would go off the other tit of that pocket with bottom left, but there is a potential of the cue popping off the table. (hah yea i guess it would have to be top since you cant get to the bottom)

If the object ball is frozen to the rail, I've made that a bunch of times using high right and hitting the opposite tit.
I wouldn't love to see it in a pressure situation because my degree of success isn't great but it's a good shot to know.

Earl shoots this off the opposite tit like I did...it almost reminds me of an old bumper pool shot of sorts...so I am pretty comfortable playing it that way. I am not up to making it consistantly, but I feel very comfortable at least getting a hit on the ball.

In my very first ever professional nine ball tournament for disabled pool players, I had the break and was left with something like this...and I actually three railed the cue and made the 1...of course I had crap for shape on the 2...but still was impressive.
