Identifying Gold Crown tables. Any Gold crown Web sites?

A bowling alley up the street from me that has been around for ages and I think have had the same tables since they opened, and have Gold crown tables. I know they aren't 3's, or 4's but How do you tell if it doesn't specifically say on the table. I am just curious what equipment I am playing on. I looked underneath the table and it says Gold crown model: AR-6100. I searched on google and could not find much information. I didn't write this down so It may not be AR-6100 but am sure about the "6100" part in the model number.

I would also be interested if anyone knows any good Web sites that give information on older tables, specifically the Gold crowns. I would like to learn more about them and Brunswick's Website has nothing on the older gold crown's. I did a google search on "pool table history" and came up with some interesting Web sites that were very educational, but not much about the improvement on tables through the years. Thanks for any help in advance!

I briefly had a webpage up for a fellow here named Ian... he had the same questions, and contacted Brunswick Via E-mail. They sent him a .pfd (Adobe) file that showed pictures and descriptions of the GC's from I-IV.
Unfortunately, I cannot find the .pdf he sent to me, and the webpage was removed early this year.

Maybe he'll see this posting, but in the meantime.. Send Brunswick an e-mail.

GC1's usually had the plastic name plate on the head rail. GC2's usually had an aluminum one. If the rail is off, the CG1's had round under rail discs with 4 screws holding them on the rail. Some of the earlier GC1's had a figure "8" shaped disc that was left over from the Aniversary, it's predicessor in the comercial table market. The GC2's had a disc that was installed on the top side of the rail, before the rosewood formica was installed, and all you see is a hole in the poplar rail liner that the rail bolt threads into.

It definately has an aluminum name plate so it is probably a GC 2. Did the anniversary have a plastic nameplate?
