If you felt 25 yrs younger, would you play better?

If not now...

I'm 55. My pool is better than ever, but old Mother Nature wakes me up every morning with a new problem that I'm forced to overcome just to play "normally." If it isn't my eyes, it's my knee or my shoulder, or my back or feet or desire to move, or bowels, or skin...always something. She is a mean old beatch!

I've often wondered if I felt like I did when I was 30, with my accumulated knowledge still intact, just how much better would I play? I'd have the body of a 30 year old (or feel like it, anyway) with my mature mind (no laughing now). That combo would be devastating to my opponents, imho.

Anybody else think feeling 25 years younger would matter much to their games? (24 year olds can chime in, too) Or would you just play the same without the pain?

I'm playing better than I ever did in my life, but i'm in the same boat as you are. I have more aches and pains than you can count. My eyes are OK, but my back, shoulder, stamina, and everything else seem to give me trouble. If I could just keep my knowledge and go back 25 years........

I'd be 7...............so, yes I probably would.

I would like to be 18 again, and making the choice what Military Service I was going in out of High School. 25 younger would make me be married to the W**** Again. NO THANKS.

I wouldn't exist!

TOUGHEN UP ! it's gonna get worse.
i'm a lot older, and play about as well or better than i ever did, only now it's for shorter peroids of time. if i had the and knowledge years ago
when i had the stamina it would have been much harder on my competition." EXPERIENCE IS WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU DON'T GET WHAT YOU WANT"
rodney stephens.

I'd settle just to have my vision back. Growing up, I had 20/10 vision and now, when I look down the table, all I see is little fuzzy footballs. LOL

I have a photo somewhere of me 25 years ago on a pool table, should scan it some time.

Do it before your 50

A wise man once told me" Son what ever you want to do in life do it before your 50".

Hi Jeff, I'm no Dr. but I know that proper nutrition and exercise will take care of a lot of things that have gone wrong. You don't have to go to a gym either. Simple things such as push-ups, crunches, squat thrusts, walking briskly, swimming or riding a bike can get you into shape very quickly.

Until we invent a perfect body that we can transplant our brain into, I'm afraid that we are doomed to wither and die.

I have problems seeing the edges of the "7" & "8" Ball for Cut Shots.

My distance vision is fine, but in Pool I have problems seeing the edges of the "7" & "8" Ball for Cut Shots.

i,m 41 with crippling back problems, however when I'm in stroke now-days I play better than ever, my coordination is better than ever, when my back comes right and I can get to the gym and not be on pills there is no doubt in my mind I will play better than ever and win better than ever. I can feel my age some and I dont like it at all but for some reason when I was young I never did have good coordination-I still dont, thats why I'm not a A+ player.

I'm not talking about chronological aging but biological. That is, you don't go back in time for re-dos; you stay in the present but have a biologically younger body.

That's good advice for sure.

The brain ages, too, so not sure if your idea is the one to extend lifespans.

What if there was a pill or potion or procedure you could take and your body would be younger.

Who'd take it?....and for how long?

If I felt 25 years younger I would have to were diapers and I'd have a hard time matching up in baby talk. But I would start playing as soon as I could pronounce pool table.

Sure I'd play a whole lot better. In my early thirties I played the best pool of my life, that was 30 years ago. I'd take my game then in a heartbeat compared to how I play now. I may be smarter in some areas but it doesn't matter. Then I could string three or more racks together, now it seldom happens. When your eye sight starts fading and your stamina fades its not like you rush out to play pool. The desire goes along with it also so does practice time. I need weight from everyone, jeez I'm falling apart. LOL
