If my wife finds out Im talking about buying another cue. To my question, currently I play with a custom Jacoby cue and love it, best cue I've ever had which isn't saying much its my first custom. Recently after reading alot on hear I've had thoughts of having another custom made. Im thinking about a Tim Scruggs for some reason his cues just seem to stand out and after finding out I wouldn't have to wait 7yrs to get it. All things being equal how would you rate the feel of a Jacoby v. Scruggs? I don't know anyone around here who has a Scruggs nor do I believe there are any shops who carry them so I won't have hit one. Im very leary of dropping $1-2k on something when I've never seen touched or played with it. My Jacoby has a rock solid feal with soft touch that I haven't seen in a production cue anywhere, what could I expect from Tims cues. Thanks for your time.

If you want to keep a similar hit, pick the same joint configuration in the Scruggs. If the Jacoby is piloted steel, get a piloted steel Scruggs, etc.

I don't think you'll be sorry, though how much difference you notice between the Jacoby and Scruggs is hard to say; depends how sensitive you are to these things. Jacobys are solid cues, but I would rate Scruggs as having that "special" sweet hit...

comparing jacoby and scruggs is like comparing a chevy cavalier with an s class mercedes. i hope you got a lot of good miles out of your cavalier, and hopefully you get to purchase and enjoy that new benz (scruggs)

I've never met a scruggs owner who didn't love the cue. I've had four of them over the years, and would gladly buy another without concern.

I personally think that the hit is like a schons hit, only better.
