I'm Not In Kansas Anymore.......

Just like in that classic, The Wizard of Oz, I feel like Dorothy.... I walked into the arena and stood in awe. I was surrounded by the world's best players, the awesome playing equipment, tv everywhere, stunned spectators - all making this the most awesome experience I've ever had! Spine-tingling. This is the real deal. It is what we, as players, as supporters of the sport and as the "present" have always dreamed of. The "past" is also represented by the awesome photo's of the champions hanging on the drapes, the old "playbills" of events from the past and by some of the champions that are here that I really thought I would never get to see compete again (and some aren't that old!). The "future" is also here..... young Austin and others and some in the stands, with their parents, hanging on their seats. I watched one who sat for hours and gently discussed the matches with his Dad while keeping that "star-struck" look in his eyes. It gave me such a boost, that Troy and I may have to re-think letting our daughter, Allison get involved with competitive pool...... (we had been encouraging golf and tennis!).

I guess what I'm saying is this. This is Real Pool. Real Rules. Real Money. This is the real deal and.....

Toto, We're not in Kansas anymore..........:D

Kathy ... It's nice to hear someone admit it for a change without
having to pull it out of them ... lol I am pulling for him today.
I figure he will have to defeat and edge out Mika to advance.
