i'm hopeing someone that is a fairly decent 3 cushion player or at least knows a fairly decent 3 cushion player in virginia is reading this.

i've decided that i'm going to add 3 cushion to the games i play, as it looks very fun and challenging(to say the least).

i probably won't play it as seriously as pocket billiards, so i'm not looking for an expert or someone who's going to charge outrageous amounts for lessons, as i already spend a fair amount once a month for pocket billiard instruction. just someone that is fairly decent and can show me the ropes and get me off to a good start.

and i'm hoping to find someone in the va/southern maryland/dc/upper north carolina area, as i can commute to any of these fairly easy.......

anyone that can help me or know anyone that can help???

thanks

I just read "Thirty Years of Billiards" by Willie Hoppe. Great book and he has practice drills in the back of his book which are quite interesting for what the goal is in 3 cushion as compaired with pocket billiards. The book is out of print, but there are some at the following link ranging from $85.00 to $325.00. (Also Billiards as it Should be Played and Le Billard).
