so i have been exiled back to south florida for a few months due to some personal stuff and i haven't been here for a few years. i'm in the plantation area and i'm looking for any small weekly tournaments or decent places to play in broward / north dade / south palm beach counties. right now the only playing i'm doing is on tuesdays in league at beyond billiards and ocasionally at the billiard club on 84, both in davie.
anybody got anything interesting they know about? i don't gamble much but if anyone wants to play some for the hell of it or maybe some cheap sets drop me a pm. i'll be here off and on (more on unfortunately) until the end of april.
can't wait to get back to the Atl.

I'm in north PBC so I don't know very much about the area down there. The closest thing I know of is Slate Billiards in Boynton Beach has a Thursday night $15 entry tournament. It has some sort of handicap but I can't remember how it worked. Also, Kelly's Billiards in Lantana has a strong weekly tournament. I can't remember the game or entry but the level of play is high. If that's in driving distance, I would give them a call.

I know you said small, but Top Hat Billiards (Awesome new room) in Jupiter (North Palm Beach County) has a monthly $60 entry even race to 7 9 ball tournament with added money. The next one is this Sunday. Great competition and it brings out all of the talent in SE Florida. If you're ever in the Jupiter area and want to play just for fun or cheap action, just let me know. Good luck.

Hi, Are you the Jason I know who used to go in Corner Pocket in Oakland Park back when Billy Maloney own the place?

Tom

I'm guessing this is Tom Wirth? So, I would be the Jason you're thinking of.
Don't have your new #, mine is the same - call me

woof,
thanks for the info. i have a freind whose band plays at top hat once in a while (i think that's where steeve said they were playing) so i need to make the trip up to your neck of the woods at least a few times. i'll let you know via pm when i'm heading up and if you can make it that would be cool. i may try to get back in stoke and make it up to one of those tournaments just for the hell of it. this move has shot my game all to hell. i need some serious practice:mad:
